I can't say enough good things about our experience at Papa San Revolving Sushi! From the moment we walked in, the vibrant ambience set the perfect tone for a delightful dinner. The decor is modern and inviting, making it a great spot for family dining. The selection of sushi was impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from. My son and I had a blast trying different rolls, and each one was more delicious than the last! The freshness of the ingredients really stood out, and every bite was packed with flavor. What truly made our evening special was the attentive staff. They were friendly, prompt, and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Our food was delivered expediently, ensuring we never had to wait long for our next delicious dish. Overall, Papa San is a fantastic dining experience that I highly recommend! We left with full bellies and happy hearts, and we can't wait to return for another enjoyable meal.

Overdue review: this was my experience before their grand renovations! The husband and I stumbled into Papasan and decided it would be a nice spot to grab some lunch. It is located in a plaza that shares space with many other businesses in which parking was easy. Upon arrival, we were greeted and quickly seated. The restaurant is small and cozy, and the staff was welcoming. We ordered the Dragon Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado with unagi & shrimp on top), Illuminati Roll (flash fried yellow tail, unagi, cucumber, yamagobo & tobiko), Kamikaze Roll (California roll with salmon, tobiko, green onion & thin slices of lemon), Buttercup Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado and cucumber with salmon on top with house garlic butter with green onion), and the Salmon. The food came out in a timely manner and everything tasted well! Overall, a nice sushi spot in Fremont that is worthy of checking out if you are in the area; again, they have gone through some renovations and changes since my visit, the most notable one being the revolving sushi table.

This is a review of the newly renovated Papasan which was completed as of august 2024 according to the owner. We were expecting the older, more traditional decor but we're surprised to see they had upgraded to an ultra clean and modern setup with new furnishings, booths, rainbow overhead lighting and a new revolving sushi table in the center. My sleepy husband and I were greeted by the owner and seated quickly, and a tablet was given to us for all ordering even utensils and refills of water. We took advantage of the 5 plate (minus the premium hello kitty plate option) for $19.98 special and indulged in a black garlic ramen. If anyone is familiar with the old zensen sushi buffet in Newark this is definitely a cut above it. Rolls are prepared well and the rice is on point, and the revolving sushi ranges from the California roll, and spicy tuna with fixins selections to uzu snapper , scallops, squid salad, to kamizaze rolls and lion king rolls. The black garlic ramen, which came quickly was exactly how I expected it to be, flavorful, enough for one person, and not too much on the salt and oily side with a good cut of charsiu. We finished off the meal with some strawberry cream puffs (3 to the plate) and left satisfied. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been here in a while. The ambience is a bit on the louder side since it echoes a bit, and conversations carry. With this in mind it's a great meal out in Fremont.

This place has such a cute and peaceful environment! The cute Hello Kitty train delivered our orders quickly and also we can pick up fresh nigiri sushis and rolls from the revolving lane. The service is good too!

A nice, bright, and chill atmosphere defines this Beyond Sushi experience. The conveyor belt adds a fun, modern touch to dining, making it an engaging spot to visit. The friendly staff elevate the experience with their warm and welcoming service. As for the food, it's great across the board, but the standout for me were the Sesame Balls--absolutely delicious!

I like how it's just walking distance from home. It offsets the plates I'm going to finish off.

I visited Papasan for the first time on a Sunday night for date night, and it turned out to be a delightful experience. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the restaurant not too crowded, the food was both flavorful and reasonably priced. A plate of nigiri, featuring two generously sized pieces of fish, was about $5. Our standout favorites were the Shiro Maguro ($5) and the Salmon N Ikura Gunkan ($6 - pictured), both of which were delicious. We wrapped up the evening with the Sakura Mochi wrapped in shiso leaf ($4), a perfect not-too-sweet ending. While the conveyor belt selection was somewhat limited, I appreciated the convenience of ordering additional items via the tablet provided. They also offer a "daily special" of 5 regular plates for $20, or 6 plates for $20 if you leave a Yelp review! The service was friendly, and the jazz music in the background added a nice touch to the ambiance. The restaurant has a ton of cute Hello Kitty decor, which Peggy, one of the owners, explained was a personal touch since she loves Hello Kitty. I wouldn't have discovered this hidden gem if it hadn't been recommended, but I'm glad I did. Peggy also mentioned that the restaurant had been open for 8 years as a traditional sushi spot before closing for 8 months to remodel. They just reopened as a contemporary conveyor belt sushi restaurant 3 weeks ago! Peggy also shared that they've been trying new ways to spread the word of their re-opening, like offering wagyu on weekends and happy hours during the week. I'm excited to see what else they come up with and wish them success--definitely worth a visit!
